On 17 to 27 January, the Sundance Film Festival is held back . Titled - films with different genres and categories of change appear in the festival . There is one category of titles from Coming -of - Age which left a deep impression on every audience . In fact , 94 % of the Rotten Tomatoes website visitors can not wait for the movie release date . The film is titled Toy 's House , released on 31 May 2013 with a new title , namely The Kings of Summer .
The film is the debut of a new director named Jordan Vogt - Roberts , who worked with Chris Galleta as screenplay writter . A steady collaboration that has created a teen comedy genre movie , which is able to provoke much laughter from the audience of the movie at the Sundance Film Festival .
The film is about a teenager named Joe Toy ( Nick Robinson ) who lives with his father ( Nick Offerman ) is unequivocal . Tired with his stern demeanor , she invites her two friends , Patrick Keenan ( Gabriel Basso ) and Biaggio ( Moises Arias ) to escape into the woods near their homes .
In the forest , they together build a home , away from parents and responsibility . Having successfully organized the house , they find themselves as a king over themselves and their own destiny , deep in the forest .
Catch a glimpse of the picture , this film will remind us of the legendary films of the 80s , Stand by Me . But still, the film is not going to adopt the gloom Stand by Me , it is filled with dialogue and the characters are very funny and silly , which will remind us of Superbad .
